Messy Church
Come and have fun with us!
Our Messy Church times usually happen on Wednesday afternoons in the school holidays from 2 to 4.30pm in our Church Hall. It is for children aged about 3 to 12, though older and younger children are welcome too.
We like doing messy things! – such as painting, gluing, cutting, cooking, decorating cakes and biscuits, making bits and pieces. Sometimes we make music, listen to stories and act them out.
We always have a biblical theme, Christmas, Easter, or a Bible story. We have some food and drink, and end with a short time of praise in the Church, with some songs, a story or little talk, and a prayer.
We like parents or carers to stay, and it’s even better when they join in and help with the activities.
There is a small charge, usually £2 per child, to cover the cost of materials and food. Parents/carers come free!
